After mentioning their intention years ago and teasing us with Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training: How Old Is Your Brain?, Wii U’s Virtual Console service is at last being steadily expanded with Nintendo 64 and Nintendo DS games.

Those plucked from the Nintendo DS library will offer screen smoothing and several control options for you to choose from, depending on whichever TV screen and Wii U GamePad combination that you prefer. While Nintendo 64 titles will let you select from three control schemes, map buttons as you wish and the Wii U GamePad will vibrate for any games that supported the Rumble Pak.

Mario Kart DS, WarioWare: Touched!, Super Mario 64 and Donkey Kong 64 are now available for £8.99 (€9.99) in Europe – those that buy any three titles being able to receive the fourth for free until April 16th. Whereas there’s a more staggered release in North America, with Yoshi’s Island DS and Super Mario 64 now available, with WarioWare: Touched! (April 9th) and Donkey Kong 64 (April 16th) arriving over the next few weeks.

Pandora’s Tower and Sin and Punishment: Successor of the Skies will become the latest Wii games to be available digitally through the Nintendo eShop, releasing on April 16th and April 30th respectively. Normally priced at £17.99 (€19.99), these will receive a 25 percent discount for their first week of sale – reducing the price to £13.49 (€14.99).
