Whilst Wii U owners won’t be able to play Wii Virtual Console releases on the console’s GamePad, there is a glimmer of hope.
Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has confirmed plans to launch a Wii U Virtual Console, which will allow users to purchase ‘retrotastic’ content with which they may do so.
Other than that, details remain light with Iwata providing no indication as to when such service will go live, let alone when it will be more expansively detailed.
At least we know it’s in the pipeline!
