After a Nintendo Direct that introduced a Nintendo 3DS exclusive Pikmin adventure and The Legend of Zelda 30th anniversary amiibo, Nintendo has announced two more games that have seen release on the Wii U Virtual Console.

The first is New Play Control! Pikmin, which had reworked the original GameCube release to introduce Wii Remote and Nunchuk support that made it far easier to command the swarming critters.

While the second addition is The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, which is Link’s earliest adventure in the timeline. This introduced full motion controls thanks largely in part to technology driving the Wii Remote Plus. That saw players have to choose the direction of their sword attacks to defeat enemies, as well as be put to use with items that helped overcome the puzzles that you face.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is now available on the Wii U Virtual Console service in Europe and North America, while New Play Control! Pikmin is currently only available in Europe.
