Wii U sponsors ITV 4’s Tour de France 2013 coverage

When brand awareness is becoming increasingly competitive, companies must look for new ways in which to spread word of their latest products.

With Microsoft and Sony preparing to come to blows over marketing their next-generation consoles, Nintendo have taken the opportunity to carry on pedaling at their own pace.

They’ve positioned the Wii U as being an official sponsor for the Tour de France 2013, more visibly through ITV4’s coverage of the yearly cycling event, which reportedly draws an audience of 3.5 billion people.

ITV4 and British Eurosport are solely providing live coverage from the event, which Saturday 29th June – Sunday 21st July 2013.
