Wii U Sales Surpass 3 Million In Japan


The Wii U may not have been met with the success that Nintendo had hoped, but the unfairly lambasted console has managed to celebrate another sales milestone in Japan.

Media Create sales data has revealed that the Wii U sold another 53,547 units last week, which carries life-to-date sales across the country to 3,020,662 units. Despite the mysterious Nintendo NX looming, that sees it continue to chase the 4.04 million sales achieved by GameCube.

It is the Nintendo 3DS that continues to be popular, the trusty handheld celebrating another sales milestone over the festive season to now sit at 20,185,999 units sold.
