It isn’t only Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS that is spurring Nintendo of America’s confidence, with Wii U similarly seeing success.

The console has seen hardware and software sales increase by 47 percent and 84 percent respectively throughout the year so far, when directly compared to the year before.

With the Christmas season approaching, the company are looking to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, amiibo and Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker to continue to drive such growth into 2015 – where the likes of Splatoon, Mario Maker, The Legend of Zelda and Yoshi’s Woolly Word will spur it forward.
