Wii U gains Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty and Stranger’s Wrath HD

In a rather sumptuous announcement, Oddworld Inhabitants have shared that they are bringing Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD to Wii U.

Abe the Mudokon will soon fumble gleefully call out “follow me!” to a new generation of players, whilst the adventures of bounty hunter Stranger will similarly be enjoyed by many.

Each game will release through the Nintendo eShop, with Oddworld Inhabitants working closely with developer Just Add Water to craft each project.

“We strive to be a completely platform-agnostic micro-publisher,” explains Oddworld Inhabitants founder and co-owner Lorne Lanning.

“As such, we were very happy when Nintendo asked if we could release these titles on the Wii U via their eShop distribution system. Nintendo’s willingness to work with the independent sector of the industry is a good sign for future consoles.”

Both Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty and Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath HD will release for Wii U during 2014.
