Wii U Chat Comes To An End On November 7th

With Miiverse shutting down, Nintendo has added that the Wii U Chat service will be discontinued at the same time.

The service, which will no longer work after Tuesday 7th November 2017 at 10pm PT, lets users communicate with friends and family around the world online with their Wii U.

That uses the built-in camera and microphone on the Wii U GamePad, allowing you to start a conversation with any friend that you registered on the console – with the chance to draw and write messages to each other on the touch screen.

Now coming to an end, it will be remembered in an Iwata Asks interview and a slightly awkward interaction between late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata and Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime that was shown in a Nintendo Direct.
