We saw a handful of Wii U deals emerge over Black Friday, whether from Amazon UK or GAME, with the common theme being that they were all pushing sales of the Wii U Basic Pack.
MCV reports that there may be a reason for that, with Nintendo having apparently cut the trade price by £70 – a retail source suggesting that the company is working to “clear out” stock in the country.
The Wii U Premium Pack, which to me is the preferable model, remains unaffected, although Nintendo have never been one to openly discuss price cuts – never disclosing their RRP and leaving it to retailers to compete.
