Nintendo’s latest Wii U system update has seen the company add the ability Wii software to display on the Wii U GamePad, accessing which is remarkably easy.
Selecting the Wii Menu will see users choose between either displaying solely on the TV, or through both the TV and Wii U GamePad. Making the second selection, Nintendo then suggests that users “stand the GamePad up and use the Wii Remote from 10cm – 1m away” whilst also making sure to position the controller away from your TV.
It’s introduction has been met positively by Wii U owners, although some feel that Nintendo should have gone one step further to map control schemes for games that support the Wii Classic Controller to the GamePad’s own set up.
