Wii Mini launching in North America this month

Having tested the waters in Europe and Canada, Nintendo of America have announced that they will unleash the Wii Mini across North America this month.

The matte black and red bordered Wii redesign continues to look slick, and will come bundled with a red Wii Remote Plus, red Nunchuk and Mario Kart Wii, which is bargainous when available at a suggested retail price of $99.99. However, do remember that the console neither supports GameCube backwards compatibility nor Internet connectivity, so is best suited to those that still gain most enjoyment from local multiplayer.

“Wii Mini offers the same fun experience as Wii, which has been enjoyed by millions of people around the world,” explains Nintendo of America’s Scott Moffitt. “And it comes packaged with Mario Kart Wii, a multiplayer Mario racing game that is one of the best-selling Wii games. At such a great price, it is an extraordinary value for shoppers this holiday season.”
