Warm up your vocal chords, as Wii Karaoke U by JOYSOUND prepares to launch through the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo eShop.
The free application provides access to a song catalogue comprising of 1,500 tracks at launch, though you will need to purchase tickets to enjoy them. These can be bought for one hour (£1.79), 24 hour (£4.49), or as a 30-day ticket (£13.49).
Without a ticket, you can still browse the catalogue, build playlists and customise in-game features, meaning you won’t waste any time once you hand over your cash. If that isn’t enough to persuade you then a free one hour trial ticket can be redeemed after the application is downloaded, limited to one per Wii U console.
Game modes include a Karaoke Battle mode where up to 10 players are divided into two teams to compete against one another, the Standard Rating mode which awards you with a score out of 100, and an In-Depth Rating mode that grants a detailed breakdown of your vocal success, across six different areas: melody, timing, smoothness, technique, vibrato, and glissando.
An Online Rating mode sees these details scores pitted against singers across Europe, with players encouraged to share their scores through Miiverse.
