Wii Fit Trainer playable in new Super Smash Bros.

Super Smash Bros. creator Masahiro Sakurai has taken to the stage at Nintendo’s E3 2013 booth to announce that the company will include the female Wii Fit U trainer as a playable character.

It was a peculiar announcement for the anticipated game, due out on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS in 2014, although Sakurai also took the opportunity to confirm that the action-brawler runs as 1080p.

Earlier, Nintendo shared their first trailers for the game, also revealing that the Villager (from Animal Crossing) and Mega Man are newcomers to the franchise.
