Nintendo has confirmed the bonuses that amiibo will unlock in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
When scanned, the Cat Mario amiibo will transform the moustachioed icon into the invincible White Cat Mario, whereas the Peach Cat amiibo will reward you with a random power-up item.
Meanwhile, exclusive to the Bowser’s Fury adventure, the Bowser amiibo will make Fury Bowser appear when used in-game, and the Bowser Jr. amiibo will unleash a powerful shockwave that knocks out nearby enemies and blocks.
Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will release at retail and on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 12th February 2021.
