Weekly Famitsu’s Monster Hunter X review scores high marks

Japan’s Weekly Famitsu has reviewed Nintendo 3DS exclusives Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. and Monster Hunter X within the lofty pages of the magazine’s latest issue.

Capcom’s questing epic scored strongest, awarded straight 9s by the four-strong review panel to be given 36/40 as an overall score. Whereas Nintendo’s Mushroom Kingdom mash-up RPG was similarly appreciated, receiving individual scores of 8, 8, 8 and 9 to achieve 33/40 overall.

Other games that were covered included Bloodborne: The Old Hunters and Call of Duty: Black Ops III on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One’s Rise of the Tomb Raider, which each scored 36/40 respectively.
