The Pokémon Company International today announced that Pokkén Tournament will see a release on Wii U worldwide early next year, with the news met positively by fans.

They are heavily showcasing the game at the Pokémon World Championships 2015 in Boston, where a Pokkén Tournament Invitational has just started – with D1 and MarkMan commentating on the action.

This will run over the next two hours, and will provide another chance to see Bandai Namco’s efforts to transition the iconic Pokémon series into the fighting genre.

Pokkén Tournament will release exclusively for Wii U worldwide in Spring 2016.
