SEGA will shortly start their Sonic the Hedgehog: 25 Year Anniversary panel at SXSW 2016, which has promised that a “special reveal will be made as part of the celebration for this anniversary milestone.”
The panel will primarily celebrate 25 years since Sonic the Hedgehog first launched on SEGA Genesis, taking “an in-depth look at his Sonic’s rich history across gaming, TV, merchandise and more.”
It will be presented by Sonic social media manager Aaron Webber and SEGA product development director Austin Keys, with Sonic creator Yuji Naka, Sonic Team head Takashi Iizuka, and voice actors Mike Pollock and Roger Smith to also share their own anecdotes about the blue blur’s history.
The panel will run between 3.30pm – 4.15pm CST (8.30pm – 9.15pm GMT).
