Disappointingly, the Wii U was snubbed by Capcom when developing Resident Evil Zero’s HD Remaster.

We’re used to that by now, of course. But we can still take an interest in the game’s most recent trailer, which charts the evolution from its early days as a Nintendo 64 prototype through to the GameCube original and current gen remaster.

Capcom had also later released a Wii port in Resident Evil Archives: Resident Evil Zero, although this brought little changes and was criticised for not implementing Wii Remote controls given the success of Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition.

Resident Evil Zero launches for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC in early 2016.
