It has been 21 years since Super Mario Kart was born into the world, and, with Mario Kart 8, we’ll soon be able to play the eighth entry in the feverishly played series.
To promote the Wii U exclusive, Nintendo are looking to remind us where it all began in this new ‘History of Mario Kart’ video. The 2-minute clip takes us from 1993’s Super Mario Kart, through to 2003’s Mario Kart: Double Dash, eventually arriving at another blistering look at Mario Kart 8.
Mario Kart 8 releases for Wii U across Europe and North America on May 30th.
