With Pokkén Tournament we have been lucky enough to spend an extensive amount of time battling it out in the Wii U exclusive.

Developed by Bandai Namco Entertainment, the expertise that they bring having worked on the Tekken series over the years has really shone through. It’s energetic, fast-paced and, most importantly, faithful to the Pokémon universe, and hopefully you can see how much fun we’re having with it!

Taking place in the new Ferrum region, Pokkén Tournament introduces a new battle style that is unique to it. That sees Pokémon and their Battle Trainers compete in the Ferrum League, which is a new single-player game mode that is exclusive to the Wii U version.

Success will reward you with new Support Pokémon and stages, meaning that you will want to spend time here honing your skills and unlocking everything that the game has to offer.

Meanwhile, those looking to discover new rivals in multiplayer can do so in either Local, Online or LAN Battles, which we’re looking forward to seeing how well these do at fighting tournaments!

We have captured five videos for you to watch below, which include the complete opening cutscene, Shadow Mewtwo vs. Pikachu, Chandelure vs. Pikachu Libre, Garchomp vs. Sceptile and Pikachu vs. Braixen. Enjoy!

Pokkén Tournament will release exclusively for Wii U worldwide on March 18th.
