The Nintendo Entertainment System’s legacy is still apparent to this day, having largely been responsible for not only propelling the company to worldwide acclaim but also establishing the home console market.

TheFineBros continue their Teens React series by placing the historic console in front of unsuspecting teenagers – including Game of Thrones star Maisie Williams – revealing a generation that is barely aware of its significance. Mistaking it for a projector, video player and even the Game Boy, you’ll have your head in your hands as they are quizzed over the retro system.

Thankfully everyone’s heard of Super Mario Bros., but Metroid and The Legend of Zelda far less well. They’re treated to playing Mario’s debut, although struggle to get the NES working after discovering that they have to blow on the cartridge. Complaints are thrown at the uncomfortable controller, although they all become engrossed when challenged to complete the first level of Super Mario Bros.

They broadly vote that it’s worse than consoles of today, although become grateful when they learn that it’s responsible for reviving the industry that has now reached Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Wii U. Enjoy!
