WarioWare’s Ashley announced as new Super Smash Bros. Assist Trophy

Super Smash Bros. news continues to trickle out through series creator Masahiro Sakurai’s daily Miiverse updates.

The latest sees WarioWare’s Ashley confirmed as a random support character that can appear through hurling the returning Assist Trophy item across the battlefield. We only have one screenshot that doesn’t show how she’ll cause trouble, but hopefully we’ll be shown more in future.

Accompanying the screenshot above on the game’s dedicated Miiverse community, Sakurai humorously chose to write the opening lyrics to Ashley’s Song: “Who’s the girl next door, living in the haunted mansion? You’d better learn my name because it’s…”
