Funbox Media and eastasiasoft have announced that Waifu Discovered 2: Medieval Fantasy will receive a physical edition release in Europe.
The physical version will have exclusive content in a “fully uncensored mode unlockable through gameplay,” and nine gloss-laminated, double-sided art cards that contain an image of each character – fully dressed on one side and uncovered on the other.
“After the extremely positive response we received from the physical Waifu Uncovered release, it was a no-brainer for us to jump at the chance to release the sequel, Waifu Discovered 2: Medieval Fantasy,” explains Funbox Media managing director Barry Hatch. “After seeing the extremely high demand on social media amongst the SwitchCorps and SwitchLewds communities, we’re sure this physical release will delight both new players, collectors, players who have already downloaded the digital version and also players who purchased Waifu Uncovered as they can add these 9 new art cards to their collection.”
eastasiasoft project lead Joshua Michael French adds: “The original Waifu Uncovered was a landmark release for us at Eastasiasoft Limited. Not only did it push the limits of mature content on Nintendo Switch and for the shoot ’em up genre for which we’ve long held a special affinity, it also marked our first in a growing lineup in cooperation with Funbox Media Ltd. We are confident that fans who enjoyed the first entry will be thrilled by the chance to add Waifu Discovered 2: Medieval Fantasy to their physical libraries, while newcomers will find that the standalone story and updated gameplay offer an accessible jumping-on point.”
After an evil ageing spell infects the garments of eight medieval maidens, the legendary Uma Ninja must protect them. Using magic to miniaturise and face the demonic forces behind the threat, they rush into battle for the sake of love and valour.
In this vertical shoot ’em up, you will choose your hero and power up your ship to blast through malicious monsters, collect gems and purge infected clothing. Between each stage, you will have the chance to purchase items and permanent upgrades and listen to gossip from the mysterious shopkeeper before deciding which maiden you will attempt to rescue next.

Waifu Discovered 2: Medieval Fantasy is now available digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide and will release at retail in Europe on 13th May 2022.
