NIS America and Nippon Ichi Software have announced that a Void Terrarium 2 – or void* tRrLM2(); – demo is now available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.

In a “heartwarming story” that you can experience exclusively within this demo, you will need to help Robbie celebrate Toriko’s birthday through “exploring dungeons, gathering materials, and crafting the perfect party decor.”

This “caretaking dungeon RPG” is set in a contaminated world that has been overwhelmed by decay, in which a young girl called Toriko is the last surviving human. Her robot friend-turned-caretaker Robbie has nursed her back to health using a shattered terrarium, which was created with the help of a decommissioned AI.

Having barely survived cloudAI’s plot in the original game, Toriko has come down with another mysterious life-threatening illness. It once again falls to Robbie to keep her safe while exploring cloudAI’s lingering memories to maintain the terrarium and find a cure.

The publisher has outlined the game’s key features as below:

  • Weapons Master: Level up your favourite weapon as you progress through the dungeons. Mastering weapons will provide you with extra power needed to protect Toriko!
  • Mystery Bonuses: Accessed by yellow portals, Mystery Rooms offer rare chests containing a myriad of boons including powerful equipment, new abilities, or ultra-rare skills that can alter the course of your expedition!
  • Customizable Companion: Making a return from the original, void* tRrLM2(); // Void Terrarium 2 offers new customization options for Toriko, including new clothes, hairstyles, and accessories! Give her the makeover of her dreams!
  • Terrarium Care: Maintain the humidity and temperature of your terrarium by planting seeds and nurturing them while they grow! Then, harvest your new plant to decorate your terrarium.

Void Terrarium 2 will release at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch in North America on 28th February and across Europe and Oceania on 3rd March 2023.
