Having steadily been released in Japan on Shogakukan’s Manga One app, it has been announced that Viz Media will publish The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess manga in western markets.
That was shared by creator Akira Himekawa, coinciding with news that Volume 1 is to be published in print format across Japan on Friday 24th June. While Viz Media will be handling an English version, TOKYOPOP have taken responsibility for publishing a separate German version.
“The English version is planned to be published by VizMedia, and the German version will be published by TOKYOPOP Deutschland,” Himekawa shared in a Facebook post. “However, the English and German publishers have not announced their releases yet and we don’t know their release dates or other details, so please wait for the announcement from them for more information. We will share the information once it has been announced officially.”
Himekawa had started working on the manga way back in 2006, but it was never published after the game was given a B rating (Ages 12 and up) by Japan’s Computer Entertainment Rating Organisation (CERO).
