Vaporeon Causes Pokémon GO Frenzy In Central Park

When Vaporeon appeared in New York City’s Central Park, Pokémon GO players that had gathered to share their experience with Niantic’s augmented reality app went into sudden pandemonium.

Dennis450D stopped to record the mayhem, which saw players immediately jump out of cars to join the large group dashing toward the Pokémon’s location.

Eevee’s Water-type evolution is one of the rarer Pokémon to appear in the real world game so far, so, for those taking their goal to catch ’em all seriously, this was a rare chance to log it in their Pokédex.

Pokémon GO was recently released in another 26 countries, but server issues believed to have been caused by a hacking group have hampered the app over the weekend.
