Success Corporation has announced Umihara Kawase Fresh!, a Nintendo Switch exclusive that will first be shown at Tokyo Game Show 2018.
With series character designer Toshinobu Kondo involved, the game is being created with the same “rubber engine” as past games.
Studio Saizensen is hard at work developing the game, which is no longer broken down into separate stages but has an interconnected Metroidvania-style map.
The hope is that less skilled players can follow the clear routes, but leaving hardcore players to take shortcuts for speedrun attempts.
Umihara Kawase Fresh! will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch in 2019.
