Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers Development Complete

Street Fighter series executive producer Yoshinori Ono has announced that Capcom has completed development on Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers.

The Nintendo Switch exclusive marks the iconic fighter’s return, with The Final Challengers becoming the newest iteration since Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix saw release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 way back in November 2008.

With all original fighters and bosses, Evil Ryu and Violent Ken are introduced to as new roster additions with players free to choose to brawl in classic pixel-art graphics or a new modern look.

The Joy-Con have been put to use in Way of the Hado mode, a first-person single-player experience that sees players use motion controls to defeat the Shadaloo army with Hadoken and Shoryuken special moves.

The Final Challengers also adds a new co-op mode where you can unleash two-character combos, local and online multiplayer, and a chance to flick through a 250-page digital art book with more than 1,500 illustrations that have been scrawled throughout the 30-year history of the Street Fighter series.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will release exclusively for Nintendo Switch on May 26th.
