The Pokémon Company president and CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara has revealed that Ultra Beast cards will soon be introduced in Pokémon TCG.
The news was shared at the 2017 Pokémon World Championships, where Buzzwole-GX and Guzzlord-GX were first shown to the world.
Buzzwole-GX has Jet Punch (requiring one Fighting Energy card) that will let you deal 30 damage to one of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon, Knuckle Impact (requiring three Fighting Energy cards) that deals 160 damage but will mean that it cannot attack next turn, and a potentially potent Absorption GX move (requiring three Fighting Energy cards), that deals 40 damage for each of your remaining Prize cards.
Whereas Guzzlord GX has Eat Sloppily (requiring one Dark Energy) that lets players discard the top five cards of their deck and if any are Energy cards they can be attached to the Pokémon. It also has Tyrannical Hole (requiring three Dark Energy cards and two other Energy cards) that deals 180 damage, and Glutton GX (requiring five Dark Energy cards), that deals 100 damage and, if that knocks out your opponent’s Pokémon, you can take two more Prize cards.
