The install base for current generation consoles has passed the 32.4 million mark within the UK, as of figures calculated on December 4th.

Such details emerged from GAME’s latest interim management statement, in which sales figures released by GfK Chart-Track were featured. Such numbers have risen from 27.2 million last year, and 20.4 million two years ago.

“As we enter the key Christmas period, we have seen some positive indicators in the market,” GAME said. “Strong and innovative products are launching well, there is a record installed base of consoles in each of our territories.”
