Ever since Shigeru Miyamoto took to the stage at the Ubisoft E3 2017 conference to help introduce Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle to the world, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has spoken about how the publisher has long admired what Nintendo does.

Buoyant in their belief that Nintendo Switch can “have a similar impact” to Wii, represents “true innovation” and will put Nintendo “back in the race,” the publisher will release Just Dance 2018, Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition and Steep and Monopoly for the portable home console in the coming months. But, it appears that there are more games in development.

When asked on the publisher’s first quarter earnings call whether analysts and investors should see Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle as an indication that Ubisoft is preparing more Nintendo Switch games, Guillemot responded: “You will see other games that will be announced quite soon [laughs]. Let’s wait a little bit.”

As to when we’ll learn more is unclear, although we are a month away from gamescom 2017. Still, we know that Ubisoft are seeing Nintendo Switch as a long term prospect, with Starlink: Battle for Atlas releasing next year.
