Indicated already by the completed Wii U exclusive that the publisher has temporarily shelved, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot has expressed that they are now taking a “wait-and-see” approach with the console.
That’s to say that they are looking for console sales to increase before they make any further commitment, although Wii U will still see Watch_Dogs and Just Dance 2015 release this year.
“Depending on the success of Nintendo’s games, if the machine takes off, we’ll do more,” Guillemot explained to Game Informer.
“At the moment we’re in the ‘wait-and-see’ phase, because we invested a lot at first. It didn’t work out as much as we wanted, but we didn’t lose everything. The fact that we could use the second screen and understand all the possibilities really helped.”
