Despite seeing most success amidst the Wii U launch line-up, Ubisoft have shared that ZombiU wasn’t a profitable move for the publisher.

As such, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot also confirmed that the company has no plans, or even the desire, to deliver a sequel, a decision that’s sure to disappoint clamouring fans.

Due to ZombiU’s lack of sales success on Wii U, Rayman Legends was controversially pushed back to allow for a multiplatform release.

“We must find a way to ensure the creativity of those games could have a big enough audience,” Guillemot explained to GamesIndustry International.

“We hope it will take off. At the moment, we’ve said ‘let’s do through Christmas and see where we are from there.'”

It was back in May that Ubisoft Montpellier’s Jean-Philippe Caro suggested that a sequel prototype was in the works, although this will most likely have been canned now.
