Ubisoft have enjoyed working on Wii U, and still believe that the introduction of the second screen has the potential to be a game changer within the industry.

Such comments came from the publisher’s senior vice president of sales and marketing, who had been discussing the progress that Nintendo’s latest hardware has been making.

“As a company, we like the Wii U,” Tony Key confessed to IGN. “We really believe that the second screen can add a new dimension to gaming. We’re still big supporters of that system.

“We have just as many games coming out on Wii U this year as we did at launch. So we like the second screen. We think there are opportunities with all these games to extend them – to another person, to another location. We’re taking it very seriously.”

Key recently discussed how developing for the console wasn’t as “resource intensive“, even though the publisher is reportedly scaling back their plans to support it.
