Ubisoft Annecy are currently hard at work developing the multiplayer component for Assassin’s Creed III.

That’s according to the Twitter profile of Tim Browne, spied by the eagle eyed GamerZines, in which he states that he is “Lead Game Designer on Assassin’s Creed 3 Multiplayer @Ubisoft – Annecy”.

The studio was previously responsible for the development of the multiplayer portion within both Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and Assassin’s Creed: Revelations. They also worked on the multiplayer mode within Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory.

Browne previously worked for Codemasters as a Principal and Senior Game Designer, Operation Flashpoint: Red River being his last project.

Assassin’s Creed III is due to release for Wii U later this year.
