Maximum Games and Only By Midnight have revealed that their high-energy, twin-stick shooter Curved Space is coming to Nintendo Switch.
Taking inspiration from classic arcade games, the developer has looked to push the same shoot ’em up concepts that you know and love “to a whole other realm.”
Plunged into the weirdest reaches of space, you must battle cosmic space-invading spiders across curved landscapes – dodging enemy fire while hunting for weapon power-ups and upgrades that will help you blast interdimensional bugs and wrangle enormous boss monsters that you will encounter.
“Working with the Maximum team has afforded us the opportunity to bring our vision to reality and we are confident players will love the intense, wild action of Curved Space,” explains Only By Midnight co-owner, creative director and producer Jen Laface.
Maximum Games founder and CEO Christina Seelye adds: “Curved Space hearkens back to classic arcade games that we all loved growing up. However, the talented developers at Only By Midnight took that formula and sent it spinning. We can’t wait for people to get their hands on the game later this year to find out for themselves.”
Curved Space will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 18th June 2021.
