Witch Beam has announced that Assault Android Cactus+ will release on Nintendo Switch next month, bringing an enhanced version of the action-packed arcade-style twin-stick shooter to the portable home console.

With a roster of playable characters with unique loadouts, you can expect transforming stages and mayhem at 60 frames-per-second.

There are new character costumes, aim assist options, and Campaign+ which completely reimagines the 25-stage campaign. Each stage has been rebuilt with new enemy waves and dynamic elements, meaning that even those that have already conquered the campaign will have new content to overcome.

Those wanting more action can play Boss Rush and Infinity Drive, while Daily Drive hands you one shot to set a worldwide high score on a newly generated level. Beyond that, there’s a Developer Commentary, Jukebox, and Sound Test modes as well as a new Movie Gallery that lets you revisit cinematics.

With single Joy-Con support, you even have the chance to play co-op with up to four players anywhere at any time. Without twin-sticks, aim assist means that players can concentrate on dodging, shooting, and managing weapons.

“We’re proud of what we achieved with Assault Android Cactus Plus,” explains Witch Beam director Tim Dawson. “Campaign+ is our love letter to hardcore genre fans and aim assist is making our game even more accessible. More people are going to be able to get more out of it.”

Assault Android Cactus+ will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on March 8th priced at $19.99 and can be pre-purchased now with a 25 percent discount.
