You’ll shortly be able to experience where the adventure began, with Frozenbyte having announced that Trine Enchanted Edition will release for Wii U next week.
We’ve journeyed with unlikely heroes Amadeus the Wizard, Pontius the Knight and Zoya the Thief in Trine 2: Director’s Cut, but this origin story will take us back to where it all started – spellbound by the magical object Trine, they must work together in solving puzzles and defeating undead hordes to restore balance to the kingdom.
“We’re extremely happy and excited to finally bring the origin story of the Trine series to Wii U. We’ve had a great reception with Trine 2: Director’s Cut ever since the launch of the console,” comments Frozenbyte CEO Lauri Hyvärinen. “To reward our loyal fans on Wii U, we came up with the Trine Series Fan Discount, a promotion that hopefully makes up for the delays we’ve had with the release!”
The Trine Series Fan Discount is a permanent promotion that will allow those that own Trine 2: Director’s Cut to buy Trine Enchanted Edition at a 20 percent discount, and vice versa.
Trine Enchanted Edition will release for Wii U through the Nintendo eShop in North America on March 12th, with the European arrival “shortly delayed” but not too far behind.
