Toys R Us has confirmed that they they will run free Pokémon TCG: Generations card giveaways across stores in Canada.
These will start on 27th February 2016, which will be celebrated as Pokémon Day this year. The date marks 20 years since the first Pokémon games saw release in Japan.
There will be eight exclusive foil cards to collect on select dates, namely being:
- 27th February 2016 (Pokémon Day) – Pikachu Character Card
- 19th March 2016 – Tangela Character Card
- 23rd April 2016 – Magikarp Character Card
- 21st May 2016 – Geodude Character Card
- 18th June 2016 – Clefairy Character Card
- 16th July 2016 – Pontya Character Card
- 20th August 2016 – Meowth Character Card
- 17th September 2016 – Slowpoke Character Card
Those interested needn’t make a purchase, with the cards being available at Toys R Us Customer Service.
