Toy Story Play Set leads new Disney Infinity announcements

The Pokémon World Championships 2013 wasn’t the only event taking place over the weekend, with Disney also hosting their biennial D23 Expo.

Whilst there they shared news relating to their sure-fire hit Disney Infinity revealing the Toy Store in Space Play Set with Buzz, Jessie and Woody – the sixth Play Set to become available for the game, and hitting retail in October.

Players will help to relocate the Pizza Planet Aliens to a new world, unlocking Space Ranger equipment along the way to help you defend the new colony. Hoverpacks, jetpacks, laser blasters, goo blasters, new mounts and more are packed within the Play Set, which will certainly prove enticing to fans.

Alongside this, the second wave of playable Toy Box mode characters was confirmed, which includes Jack Skellington from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, Rapunzel from Tangled, Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope, Phineas and Agent P from the Disney Channel’s Phineas and Ferb, Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey, rounded off by Anna and Elsa from the studio’s upcoming film Frozen. These being released from October through to 2014.
