Toon Link and Sheik were revealed as part of the third wave of Nintendo’s new amiibo figure range yesterday, making their mark in the west early next year.

Alongside news of their impending arrival, Nintendo provided a run down as to which games they will be compatible with. While they can be a trainable Figure Player in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, they will also have a currently undisclosed impact on Hyrule Warriors.

We now know that the Link amiibo will unlock the new Spinner weapon from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, while Koei Tecmo Games have teased that Zelda’s amiibo will also grant access to a new weapon – although this is still being kept as a surprise.
