Nintendo has revealed that Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore will release on Nintendo Switch, news that was shared in this week’s Nintendo Direct presentation.
The ATLUS-developed role-playing game was previously released as a Wii U exclusive, and comes to the portable home console with a new song that wasn’t in the original, new story elements, and the chance to play the game on the go.
When an interdimensional evil invades modern-day Tokyo, Itsuki Aoi and his friends must call on their creative power that’s manifested as iconic Fire Emblem characters to wage a secret war on the rogue spirits.
That will see you battle it out in turn-based battles that blend the combat of the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei series into one brutal harmony, as you explore dungeons themed to the entertainment industry.
In our review for the original Wii U game, we concluded: “Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE effortlessly delivers a performance of a lifetime, arriving as a near swansong for Wii U. It never misses a beat, packed with a vibrancy not only in the kaleidoscopic palette but the soaring soundtrack that energizes the entire experience.”
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE Encore will release for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 17th January 2020.
