SEGA has announced plans to hold a Sonic 25th Anniversary Party in Japan later this month.

That will take place at Tokyo Joypolis from 10am JST on Saturday 25th June, with the event to be broadcast live on niconico, YouTube and Abema TV.

Those looking to tune in can expect a developer discussion with a talk with Sonic Team producer Takashi Iizuka and other prominent staff, while attendees are promised autograph sessions and a chance to play Nintendo 3DS exclusive Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice.

Buying an entry ticket will secure a limited edition Sonic 25th Anniversary Collector’s Coin, while other anniversary merchandise may be bought at the event – such as a t-shirt, water bottle and frisbee.
