Area 35 has announced that Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble will release on Nintendo Switch next week.

This turn-based strategy game is a standalone sequel to the original Tiny Metal, and continues to harken back to Nintendo’s own Advance Wars.

Promising to test the strategic mettle of commanders in more ways than ever before, you are challenged to conquer 39 campaign missions, 77 skirmish maps, and 21 multiplayer battlefields.

You will witness an epic story of triumph and tragedy unfold, which has been penned by I Am Setsuna writer Hirotaka Inaba.

That will see you command the fiercely independent Commander Wolfram and her White Fangs, who must save the world from the Dinoldan Army which is excavating ancient artifacts with power beyond human comprehension.

As well as that, the story’s accompanied with a stirring soundtrack from composer Tomoki Miyoshi (I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphear, STEINS;GATE).

With a new tutorial mode to help prepare cadets for intense firefights and a new UI, you must leverage commander powers and special passives to turn the tides of war.

“The best turn-based strategy games are intensely satisfying and reward clever tactics,” explains Area 35 producer Hiroaki Yura.

“The titans of the genre inspired the tactical complexity of Full Metal Rumble, a sequel that builds on the first Tiny Metal with more ways to play, more strategies to master, and even greater challenges to overcome.”

Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on July 11th, with a demo available to download from July 8th.
