Nakana.io and Platonic Partnership have announced that Lydia will release on Nintendo Switch this week.

This award-winning game has been based on real experience and will let you explore the thought-provoking memories of a child with drunk and broken parents.

That will see you grow up with Lydia and come to understand the feelings, behaviours, and events that have moulded critical moments in her life.

The hand-drawn game can be completed in around one hour, in which you will witness how she uses her imagination to overcome living in a resenting and alcoholic household.

“Our Finnish studio is focusing on narrative-driven games that motivate change,” explains graphic novel artist and co-author Henri Tervapuro.

“Lydia is someone who wishes for a happy childhood but can never have it. People with similar experiences will see this, so hopefully, the game is really genuine and respectful.”

Lydia will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 17th January 2020 priced at £3.50 ($4).
