The Simpsons to parody the Wii U, E3 Show

It has been revealed that within a new episode of The Simpsons set to air this weekend, the creators are to parody the videogames industry and its annual E3 event.

Such news was shared by Matt Selman, Executive Producer & Writer for The Simpsons, on GTTV and the episode will see the family attend ‘E4’ at which Homer battles across the crowded show floor to ensure that Bart and Lisa can play the ‘Zii Zu’, an upcoming console from ‘Funtendo’. This is, of course, a spin on Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U platform, and those familiar with the series will know that the creators have previously spoofed the Wii, as the ‘Zii’.

It is set to air on November 13th, and will see the gang stumble upon games such as Medal of Duty, Guts of War II: Entrails of Intestinox, Grand Theft Scratchy: Itchy City Stories, Shaun White: Time Snowboarder, Dig Dug: Revelations, Assassin’s Creed: Summer of Love and World of Krustcraft.
