The Pokémon Company International has confirmed that it will appear as an exhibitor for Gamescom 2025, which pitches itself as the world’s “largest game event.”
“Are you ready, trainers? We are back at gamescom again this year and can’t wait to see you all!” the company shared on social media.
After gamescom Opening Night Live is broadcast on Tuesday 19 August, gamescom 2025 will once again take place at the Koelnmesse in Cologne from Wednesday 20 – Sunday 24 August 2025.
We can assume that the company’s plans revolve around Pokémon Legends Z-A, whether it be the game being playable on the showfloor or shown in a presentation of some form.
Set in Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place where humans and Pokémon can co-exist, in Pokémon Legends Z-A you will have the chance to befriend either Chikorita, Tepig or Totodile, who will become your first partner Pokémon.
Pokémon Legends Z-A will be released at retail and digitally on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch 2 worldwide on 16 October 2025.
