Revered Nintendo 64 classic The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time will be added to Wii U’s Virtual Console service next week.

Nintendo of Europe shared the news in advance of detailing their Nintendo Download list on Monday, although it is unclear whether Nintendo of America will follow with a similar announcement.

Link’s time-travelling adventure has long been lauded as not only one of his finest quests, but remains to be recognised as one of the greatest games of all time.

It was remastered for Nintendo 3DS as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, which was followed earlier this year by The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D.

  1. I’m glad that Ocarina of time is moving on to the virtual console. But something else big, is moving onto the virtual console, are indie game downloads. Due to Nintendo teaming up with a big indie game company, and the agreement, got the indie game company to agree to create indie games for the virtual shop.
