Square Enix has announced that The Last Remnant Remastered is now available on Nintendo Switch, surprising news that was shared in their Square Enix Live: E3 2019 presentation.

This classic role-playing game was originally released for Xbox 360 in 2008, but, last December, received a remastered port on PlayStation 4 that was enhanced with an updated game engine.

It’s set in a world that’s filled with Remnants. These mysterious artifacts are from an ancient era, but no one knows who created them or how long they have existed.

They are used as tools for the good of civilization, but their powers have started to change the world’s balance – resulting in a rift forming between those who ruled and those that obeyed.

This started a new era and countless battles, brought upon the world by those that have succumbed to their own lust for power. Now, a thousand years have passed, and a young man begins his journey to uncover the truth behind it all.

The Last Remnant Remastered is now available for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
