Skystone Games, The Stonebot Studio and Ludus Games have confirmed a release date for The Last Friend, which is coming to Nintendo Switch.
After the world goes into an apocalypse, only an army of super-powered dogs will be able to help you to drive back the violent mutants and bandit gangs that threaten you.
In an experience that is pitched as “a genre-bending mix between beat ’em up and tower defence,” you play as the lone hero Alpha who must rescue captured Doggos with your trusty chihuahua T. Juan by your side.
Whether playing alone or with a friend, you will be able to collect lots of Doggos that each has special skills to help you survive the wasteland on your upgradeable roving battle station.
“The Last Friend has been a labor of love – not just for games, but for our pets,” explains Stonebot Studio producer Carlos Martinez. “We feel we’ve made something that can be enjoyed by every lover of dogs, and every fan of great indie games. We can’t wait to finally share it with the world this September.”
The Last Friend will release on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch worldwide on 30th September 2021.
